Welcome to the website of the Airport Fire Officers Association (AFOA)

As a professional association, we aim to deliver the most modern communication portal in our sector. With this new modern looking website we will be providing news, events, updates on legislation, examples of best practice, and other relevant information to the global ARFF community as well as to members of other organisations with a vested interest in aircraft and aerodrome incident response.

AFOA has increasingly become more international, and now welcomes members from across the globe. We hope that this website reflects our intercontinental outlook and we invite people to actively deliver contributions, well as providing suggestions on how to improve it.

In the meantime, we are hard at work to organise next year’s annual conference, which will take place on January 16-17-18, 2019, at the Hilton at London Gatwick, UK. The 2019 event was an astounding success with over 240 people from all over the world attending. For anyone who would like to attend our annual conference in 2019, please contact our treasurer, Catherine O’Brien.

AFOA is currently looking for research projects relevant to the ARFF and aerodrome response sector. We are also looking for speakers for our 2019 conference. Please contact me if you have any suggestions or any other initiatives you would like the Airport Fire Officers Association to get involved with.
We are also happy to share your news and events on our website.
