Airport Fire Fighters

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated individual who would like to join our Rescue and Fire Fighting Service.

The role is to provide Rescue and Fire-Fighting Services as required by Aviation Regulations, being a firefighter is essential to the needs of the Airport.

If you are looking to begin a career in the fire service and have limited or no experience or alternatively you are already a qualified fire fighter, this position is for you.

The department covers the operation 24/7, with shifts ordinarily consisting of a 13 hour night shift & 11 hour day shift on a 4 of 4 off rotation.

You will need to be a confident individual who remains calm under pressure as the role can be challenging and provide clear instructions using a radio. A methodical approach, with specific attention to detail, is needed as you will be required to work independently at times.

It is essential for the position that you have:

Full driving licence
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise
Good colour perception
Physically fit
Ability to work in a team
Good communication skills
Must have been resident in the UK for 3 years
Local to the Airport
